Hello dear stitching friends and a warm welcome to my new followers! I have a variety of finishes to share this week. I have been wanting to try some needle painting for a while now and stitched this little Victorian Pansy by Trish Burr as my first piece.
It is stitched in DMC stranded cotton on white linen. I'm not sure what I'll finish it as yet - maybe the cover of a needlebook or just a little pinkeep?
This Cathedral Window pincushion really drew my attention on a few web pages and I just had to try my hand at it! It turned out very pretty in pink fabrics from my stash, but I don't think I'll be using it as a pincushion - it is already on display in a basket with some other ornaments :)
I stitched this 'Maison Dentelle' from gazette94 a while ago. It is stitched in DMC B5200 on dark pink Aida - even though I don't like stitching on Aida I love how it turned out.
I think this little cottage will look good in a frame, so I'll be on the hunt for one :)
This has been a very 'pink' post, so I will end it with a photo of some pink roses from my garden - I wish you could smell these - they are a delight!
Enjoy the rest of the week and Happy Stitching!
Michelle

Absolutely beautiful work on all three pieces! Your needlepainted pansy is my favourite :) Congratulations!
Wow, wonderful work!! Such talent! Love the Maison Dentelle... Must have been a joy to stitch on this lovely raspberry fabric!!! Pincushion is way too pretty to use as a pincushion, you're right to display it. Well done, Mii xx
That is your first go at needle painting?! (insert sound of my jaw hitting the floor)
You are talented! Looks amazing.
I started some needlework too, but I find it quite difficult. But you are a pro already!
Oh, and make a notebook of it. That would be gorgeous!
Love your other projects too.The lace with the little house fits really well.
You are a woman of many talents! I'm with Lonneke at the doctor, having our jaws examined for bruises, because WOW!! It really is gorgeous. Love the cathedral window--I've thought about doing a quilt using that block but hear that it's labor intensive. Love the house piece, too.
What perfect pieces and such variety! You have all these hidden talents I didn't know about! Love the needlepainting.. such exacting stitches. Cathedral windows makes such a cute little cushion. And I'm a big fan of Aida... white on raspberry really works for the Gazette design.
The stitched pansy is absolutely exquisite!
I too don't really like stitching on aida, but the colour of that fabric is really pretty.
I for one, love this pink post!!
