A Big Finish!

I finished Girl from Alhambra by the Solaria Gallery this weekend! I really enjoyed stitching this piece - it is so well charted and the colours are so beautiful.
Now, what to do next? I know I should take out one of my WIPs, but I don't think I'll be able to resist a new start! There are so many things in my stash that want attention :)

It has been absolutely sweltering here over the past week - temperatures are over 30 degrees Celsius, actually closer to 40 degrees Celsius some days (it was 42 degrees Celsius/ 108 Fahrenheit on Saturday afternoon)! The night temperatures also stay well in the twenties, so guess who is hardly sleeping at the moment! Autumn (and Winter) can't come soon enough for me.

Enjoy the rest of the week and Happy Stitching!

WOW!
It looks absolutely beautiful . Well done on the finish.
If you want a new start , go for it , and you can have some of our cold and snow if you like, I'll happily parcel it up lol.

That is so unbelievably gorgeous! You did a beautiful job stitching it. Hope you enjoy looking at it for years to come.

Wish we could trade some of our cold, snowy weather for a bit of your warmth about this time. Looks like extremes are everywhere this year.

How pretty! Isee what you mean about the colours being well-chosen. Nice choice of a prop for the photo, as well.

Michelle, your girl from the Alhambra is absolutely beautiful!!! I was there last December, and the atmosphere of this picture is so similar to the one of the place.

If you would like, I can send you a postcard about the Alhambra :)

What you write about the heat it must be terrible. Last summer we had around 39 degrees for many many weeks and for me it was very difficult to cope with it. Hope the temperature goes down for you soon (and up for me :) )

She is breathtaking, Michelle--a true work of art :)

I never knew it got that hot in S. Africa! Sure wish we could borrow a bit of your heat for a while!
