Blog on Vacation

Hi stitching friends!  You might have noticed that, yet again, it has been a long time between posts for me.  I just don't seem to have the time for blogging/commenting anymore.

To top off my distress, a package I ordered from Anita's Little Stitches in April has not arrived yet.  I emailed Anita to find out which mail method she used and she sent me such a rude email in reply!  She claims that 50% of her business is overseas and a package has never gotten lost (and if you believe that you'll believe anything).  I have been ordering stitching supplies from overseas for years and this is the first package I have not received.  Needless to say, I was shocked by her response - I was planning to re-order, but obviously she has now lost a customer.

Anyway, enough complaining and on to some stitching.  Here is what I have been up to:

I have made great progress on Historic Countries Sampler (from the Gift of Stitching Magazine) and hope to finish it soon:

The Heaven and Earth Designs bug has bitten me again.  I started Train of Dreams by Randal Spangler last year and took it out again this year.  Here is my progress, not much done, but I already love the way it is turning out:
Here is what the full picture looks like:
I also bought a Quick Stitch from Heaven and Earth Designs a few weeks ago and could not resist starting it.  Her name is Ruby and she is a design by Meredith Dillman.  Here is the bottom of her dress.
This is what she will look like eventually:
So, to conclude, I have decided to put my blog on vacation.  I guarantee I will still be stitching and, who knows, maybe I will be returning to blogging soon!  Thank you to everyone who shared this virtual stitching experience with me - I am so lucky to have made such wonderful friends over the past two years.  I will still be visiting all your lovely blogs as often as I can.

Happy Stitching!

Lots of Love,
Michelle

Tenho enviado vários kits para o exterior como presente e também recebido vários presentes das minhas seguidoras... Todos tem chegado ao seu destino...claro alguns demoram mais tempo... desejo que voce ainda receba o seu!

I'm so sorry to hear that your package was being lost. I hope that package will arrive safely later but not being lost. I do always worried about the shipping of my package every times I made order online from oversea. Your Historic Countries Sampler is stunning. It's so color and I love it too. Train of Dreams by Randal Spangler is such a complicated piece but your progress looks great. Ruby is pretty too. :) Hope to hear from you again soon.

Sorry to hear your package was lost - something similar happened to me and they too lost me as a customer. Lovely photos thanks for sharing xx

Your package may still arrive, Michelle--it took a delivery from Spain two months to reach me earlier this year! I had honestly given up on it and there it was :)

Your work is so, so lovely--enjoy your blogging vacation. We'll miss you...

Lovely stitching, Michelle!

I'm sorry to hear that you are taking a blog vacation but I understand. Life is more important than blogging--so enjoy it! Pop in when you can with an update. Take care of yourself!

Well done on your sampler. I have just finished mine and am waiting to take it to the framer.

Yes, the package can still show up, like mine that I sent to Carol and it took over 2 months. It helped that I put a complaint, though...

Your progress in your stitches is amazing and I sure will miss the updates on your blog. Hope to have you back one day (soon)! :)

Your Historic Countries Sampler is gorgeous and your stitching is just beautiful. There's a HEAD design that I have my eye on, but I haven't worked up the ambition to even purchase it!

I had the same experience - two packages that I ordered a month from each other (different countries and companies) did not arrive. I have given up on them :) Someone in our post office services must love cross stitching too - lol :)
